Join me for a week in beautiful Devon, England, painting at some of my favourite locations! We’ll stay in a traditional country house hotel and go on painting adventures to the moors, the sea, and inbetween.
You’ll receive daily lessons, demonstrations and personal guidance as you learn to perfect plein air painting in line and wash for your tiny and small paintings alike.

I have taught thousands of students of all ages for over twenty years and I have yet to encounter a student who can’t learn to create wonderful art. With instruction and practice, everybody can learn to draw and paint!
Choose what you want to learn and I will design an individualised plan to assist you in your quest. Whether your passion is portraiture, urban sketching, plein air painting, or traditional oil painting, I will guide you along the path to realising your dreams.
I offer private and semi-private lessons and workshops in drawing and painting. I work primarily with charcoals, water mixable oil paints, watercolours, gouache and ink. Please contact me if you would like me to teach you private lessons, or to offer a workshop at your school or arts centre.
All levels are welcome, from beginners to advanced. Dates & times are flexible and to be determined on an individual basis. In general, most students choose to study for a two hour block once per week.
Lessons are taught at my studio in Devon. For those who don’t live nearby, I offer online coaching via Zoom.
Although I am not currently accepting new students, you can still get valuable art tuition from me on my Patreon (see above). Patreon is also the best place to learn about my art workshops and retreats. There is even a tier for monthly one-to-one feedback on your art.
