Dates for 6 week course: January 6, 13, 20, 27, February 3, 10

Unlock your potential! Whether you are a beginner, amateur, or an artist looking to learn new techniques, if you commit to trying your best you will leave with a charcoal portrait that will amaze you and everyone you know. No tricks or shortcuts— just learning how to see objects in a different way and translate that onto paper. Working from a combination of drawing from life and photos, you will be led through the anatomy and techniques that will enable you to produce beautiful charcoal portraits. Bring your own photo to use as inspiration or choose from one provided. Intermediate students will be introduced to drawing the head from various angles and more complicated compositional devices.

I keep class sizes very small to better facilitate learning, and to create a more intimate learning community where each student gets plenty of individual attention each week. A maximum of 12 students ensures that everyone is able to have a personalised experience.

Materials: Supply list will be provided upon registration.

Age: Suitable for over 16

Tuition: £210 for 6 week course

This class will be taught online via Zoom. This will require students to have a webcam or ability to access video conferencing.
