Class time: Tuesdays 10am-12:30pm
Dates: 6 weeks, 25 February - 31 March

This introductory class is designed to teach you everything you need to know to get started with watercolour painting. First, you will learn about your materials and what they can achieve. From there, you will go on a voyage of discovery of this classic medium that has fascinated people for centuries.

In this class you will:

  • Explore basic drawing concepts, including value, perspective, and composition.

  • Learn various techniques, including wet-on-wet, dry brush, and washes.

  • Play with salt, alcohol, sponges and scraping to create textures and effects.

  • Learn colour theory and mixing and how to deliberately create combine colours for effect.

Through a series of exercises, guided paintings, playful discoveries and lots of tea (to drink and not to paint with!) you will soon be producing lovely paintings of your own!

Materials: Supply list will be provided upon registration.

Age: Suitable for over 16 (class size limited to 6 students)

Tuition £122 (for 6 weeks)
