Join Leslie Stroz for an all-inclusive, transformative art retreat in the gateway of the Scottish Highlands! Located in a private, luxury retreat venue set within a stunning 100-acre estate in Perthsire, you will be surrounded by breathtaking scenery as you immerse yourself in a full week of tiny painting and sketching on location.
Friday, 14 August 2026 - Friday 21 August 2026
Leslie will share her 40+ years of drawing and painting experience with you, demonstrating how to compose dynamic compositions, draw what you see, mix colours masterfully, and create paintings that will delight. The mornings will feature demonstrations and tutorials in a private studio with natural light and pastoral views from the floor to ceiling windows to inspire you. We will focus on building observational and drawing skills, watercolour techniques, and learning to scale your work down to a small level. After lunch, you’ll have time to paint en plein air in the grounds of the beautiful estate (when we’re not off on one of our three painting adventures!). Leslie will be there to guide and help you take your art to the next level. The retreat is limited to 16 students to allow for personalised guidance.
Scotland offers an unparralleled setting for artistic inspiration. From the dramatic Highland landscapes to medieval architecture, tranquil lochs, and charming coastal towns, every picture tells a story waiting to be captured on canvas. There will also be a guided nature walk through ancient woodlands, rolling hills and scenic trails, allowing you time to stop and sketch.
